Minnesota Excellence in Public Service (MEPS) Series

The Minnesota Excellence in Public Service (MEPS) Series - The national series began in Indiana in 1989.  More than 20 other states have had active programs and thousands of women, ranging in ages from 21 to 65, have graduated from the series across the US.  The Minnesota Series began in October 2007 with the first class graduating in 2008. The Series provides leadership, public service and political training to conservative women throughout the State.  Our mission is to increase the number of women with conservative values who become involved in the political process and/or are elected or appointed to governmental positions at the local, state and federal levels - thus strengthening their influence.

The MEPS Series is a nine-month immersion program (one full Saturday per month) for political and personal development, including a three-day summit in Washington, D.C., where participants hear from national leaders and network with leaders from other states.  Each year, a small number of remarkable women are accepted for Fellowship into the program for the intensive training and ultimately graduate from the series well-equipped to fulfill leadership roles in their careers, their communities and their government. Past graduates have gone on to serve in the Minnesota legislature, run for statewide office, host conservative talk radio, serve in local offices such as school board, mayor and city council, serve on governor-appointed boards, lead the Republican party at the state and local levels, manage campaigns, create Political Action Committees, and grow other grassroots programs for Republican women.
